Inducible Transgenic Modeling of Lung Diseases

Description of projects available to graduate students:
Epithelial Signaling During Oxidative Stress, Functional characteristics of
DCs in innate/adaptive immune interactions, Generation of DNA constructs for
the generation of inducible transgenic mice.

Techniques graduate student will learn:
Epithelial cell, T cell and DC culture, analysis of phenotype by flow
cytometry, preparation of cell and nuclear extracts, western blot analysis,
immunoprecipitation, molecular biology techniques, background on inducible
transgenic systems and murine models of lung diseases.
