Description of projects available to graduate students:
This project aims at elucidating the mechanisms of endocytosis of dopamine transporter (DAT) in neurons. We will also analyze how endocytosis regulates DAT function in neurons and how drugs of abuse regulate DAT endocytosis.

Techniques graduate student will learn:
Preparation of neuronal cultures from mice; fluorescence microscopy, biochemical methods, mass-spectrometry, lentiviral shRNA expression, conventional moecular biology techniques
