T follicular cell responses to chlamydial infection in miceDate Added: 4/6/2011 10:51:00 PM Last Updated: 4/14/2011 11:22:00 AM
Description of projects available to graduate students: Examination of T follicular cell responses during chlamydial genital tract infection. Lymphoid follicles develop in the genital tract during the resolution phase of chlamydial infection. The goal of the project is to determine if T follicular cells are present in these follicles and the potential that CXCR13-CXCL5 interactions determine the development of these follicles within the uterus of mice and their role in resistance to reinfection. Techniques graduate student will learn: Flow cytometry, murine model studies, cell and tissue culture, immunofluorescence, data analysis.
