development of HSV vectors for transfer of genes to peripheral nerves in animal models of chronic pain. the genes include those that regulate sensory nerve silencing mechanisms

Techniques graduate student will learn:
recombinant DNA, animal models, virus targeting using transductional and transcriptional methods
