Evaluating heart-liver cross talk using a mouse model. We have KO and WT mice that have undergone surgical ligation of the inferior vena cava to induce hepatic congestion. We are investigating the effect on heart function. We also have invitro models involving microfluidics devices and transwell culture plates. We use iPSC derived cells for these studies.
