Project Accepting Students

Program 1 (CBMP)

Current projects in the lab seek to “correct” disease associated mutations that cause Bartter syndrome by treating cells with small molecules that facilitate protein folding in the ER. In parallel, they have devised a novel yeast system in which new mutations can be isolated in the channel.

Program 2 (MGDB)

  1. Molecular mechanisms of polycystic kidney disease
  2. DNA damage and renal senescene
Program 1 Research Interests
Protein biogenesis and degradation
Program 2 Research Interests
Protein degradation, protein folding, cell biology, molecular chaperones, endoplasmic reticulum
